Leila, a full size EC board by Clever
Greetings! The Leila is a full size EC keyboard project that's super close to the heart. Like all of my projects, there's a story behind each design and this one was always intended to honor my late mom, Leila. Growing up, we had an old school IBM full size keyboard that saw a ton of use in our home, and that's what led me on my journey to the hobbies and career I have today. My mom always had an appreciation for technology, sci-fi, and high quality (almost to a fault). We could never afford those things but she instilled in me early on that if you try hard enough for something, you can achieve anything. In the same vein of achievement and never giving up, she always taught me to carve my own path in the world and blindly follow others. "Do it your way" is a sentence I grew tired of hearing in my younger days but will now forever cherish.
This design is purposefully retro-futuristic - nods to the past with a unique, modern flair. This first run will only be offered in EC, but there is support and potential plans to offer MX in the future as an add-on accessory.
Here's our current plan, which is subject to change based on your feedback.

- $619 per kit at 50 MOQ (includes genuine Lemo connector + USB cable)

Per kit:
- Aluminum bottom case, custom beige e-coat in semi-gloss finish
- Aluminum top, anodized
- EC PCB
- Accessories (silicone, bottom case foam, custom Clever screws, etc)
- Lemo to JST cable (pre-installed in the bottom case)
- Lemo to USB-C cable (4ft in length, subject to change based on interest)
