DN SEVEN’s dual o-ring mount:
Where o-rings sit above and below the PCB assembly providing several benefits:
- Vibration isolation: The o-rings act as dampeners, reducing vibrations between the plate/PCB and the keyboard case.
- Sound tuning: The isolation helps control the acoustics, reducing unwanted resonance or case ping, resulting in a cleaner sound profile.
- Compliance and flex: The dual o-rings allows controlled vertical movement during keypress, contributing to a softer bottom-out (not flexy).
- Consistent feel: Since the PCB assembly is suspended between two o-rings, it maintains a balanced, consistent typing feel across the entire board, not overly stiff or overly bouncy.
