Sensy Seal80 Dolch Edition Keyboard contains all the features of the Seal80 and reimagines it into a Dolch colorway, with custom strips and badges and a two-tone top and bottom case matching the classic light and dark gray Dolch colors. The edition is themed around the classic DCS Dolch palette — deep charcoal, warm grey, and a signature teal accent — offered in two case colorways, Black and Olive.

About the Structure

In December, the Smoke 65% shipped with a PEI damping frame that received much praise from users, so Sensy continues to use PEI as the Force Break material in the Seal80. However, a mid-frame increases overall keyboard thickness, so for the Seal80 Sensy tried a mid-frame-less Force Break solution: separate damping strips combined with a PVC bottom pad, providing a Force Break-like effect while lowering the front height.

About the Dampers

The previous Smoke used 70A and 90A dampers, which still had deformation issues when assembled improperly. The Seal80 adds 98A TPU 3D-printed dampers with higher hardness and less deformation — easier to assemble and offering a different feel.

About the 4mm Plate

On the Smoke 65%, the spacebar row had many cutouts to accommodate different layouts, resulting in worse fill compared with other rows. The Seal80 removes compatibility for the 6.25u spacebar and separates the ANSI and ISO plates to achieve as close to perfect a fill as possible, and adds an ABS plate option for a softer, springier feel and a different sound profile.

PCB Support

Single-mode, supports VIAL. The PCB fully matches the A87 standard, so third-party PCBs such as Hiney80 or Lix LAB JKL80V2 can be installed for additional features or dual-/tri-mode functionality. To add a battery, remove the internal aluminum nameplate to make space (recommended maximum battery size: 93 x 18 x 3mm).
